Unveiling of the New Lighting for the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion Today! The Event Will Be Broadcast Live by ERT and via YouTube.
On Monday, September 16, 2024, at 19:30, will take place the inauguration of the new lighting for the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion!
The lighting was curated by the internationally acclaimed Eleftheria Deko. The new lighting for the temple at Sounion highlights the archaeological and architectural significance of the monument in a unique way, giving it new dimensions.
Special care was taken to ensure that the visual experience of visitors to the archaeological site during the day would not be disturbed. All elements of the installation and lighting fixtures were placed in such a way as not to hinder visitors' movements or cause visual disruption. The positions of the lighting fixtures, as well as the pathways for cables and electrical installations, were carefully planned and placed at appropriate points to ensure the unobstructed function of the site.
Live Broadcast!
The illumination of the temple will be broadcast internationally, as many museums, universities, educational institutions, cultural centers, chambers of commerce from around the world, and international news agencies will stream the event live.
In Greece, the event will be broadcast live by ERT and via the link:
