Heatwave tips, while you are in Greece

Temperature Awareness.

Summers in Greece can be very hot, with temperatures often exceeding 35°C (95°F). To avoid heatstroke and dehydration, stay indoors during peak heat hours, wear lightweight clothing, drink plenty of water, and avoid strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day. 

  • Download an app www.meteo.gr or www.windy.gr and check daily the temperature in your location. .

  • Be aware of symptoms which include weakness, headaches, nausea, disorientation

  • consume plenty of fluids

  • avoid large meals

  • limit alcoholic beverages and drinks

  • consume plenty of fruits and vegetables

  • take lukewarm showers throughout the day

  • adjust the dosage of medications
